Lower than normal hit counts

Does anyone know if the stats are broken again? I updated my story yesterday, at the same time of day that I always update. Usually, I get between 150 and close to 200 hits for a new chapter. Yesterday, I got 98 hits. I was hoping other people had noticed low hit counts yesterday, so I can stop thinking I did something wrong. I'm this close to abandoning the story just because the lower than normal hit counts makes me think people are losing interest. So, at this point, I would really like this to be because of some problem with ff.net.

You know the one change that ff.net mentioned that I thought was a rather good idea? The separate space in a story for author's notes.

And then that's the one thing they DIDN'T do!
