1. Don't allow users to delete signed-in reviews, don't allow users to turn off anonymous reviews
2. Don't respond to requests for at least disabling anon reviews to be turned back on
3. NEVER respond to abuse reports unless, possibly, the reported reviews use racial slurs AND are reported on the blog rather than with the designated report form
4. Wonder why people hate your site
5. ???
6. Profit!

So, my anonymous troll who keeps leaving me garbage reviews gets to keep wasting my time even though just a few days of disabling anon reviews entirely would stop them, AND the reviews left on one of my stories years ago by a troll who created an account JUST to flame me with reviews that would never go away and called me a "faggot" multiple times get to stay there.

Further, reports of authors who don't have a single story that hasn't been plagiarized are being ignored, and the user(s) in the meantime are free to steal story after story.

This is why everyone hates you, FFN. You don't deal with malicious users, but you don't let users deal with malicious users themselves, either.

I'm still mad that you can't turn off anon reviews like I've always had until they changed it. Ao3 allows anon reviews to be optional. You have to click a box on every story. They made this feature AFTER me having more than 50 stories on there and you can't just disable it in your Ao3 prefs. You have to do it for EVERY story.

I can't win with any fan fic site that I cross post to. :(

Would you like an Ao3 invite? The ff.net importer doesn't work anymore and the site isn't as active as ff.net but it's good to crosspost. I would need your email address if so.

Same. People bash ff.net all the time but I get most of my feedback from there vs Ao3.

Hi! You can use the Archive's "Edit Works" feature to disable anonymous comments on all (or any subset) of your works at the same time. To do so:

1) Log in
2) Go to your user home page (you can get there quickly by clicking your user icon at the top of the page)
3) Hit "Edit Works" (button under your name)
4) Use the "All" button at the top of the form to tick the boxes next to all your works
5) Hit "Edit"
6) Scroll down to near the bottom of the form where it says "Comment Settings" and tick the box next to "Anonymous commenting disabled"
7) Hit "Update All Works" and then "OK" in the "Are you sure?" confirmation popup

To disable anonymous comments only for works in a given fandom, you can use the "all" button above that section on the Edit Works form instead of the one at the top, and of course you can also manually tick any combination of works you'd like.

If you have any questions, please feel free to submit a Support ticket! (https://archiveofourown.org/support)

Best,
Lady Oscar

when did they remove the disable anon-reviews option? I've still got that option.

In response to the tagging stuff, AO3 is run by mostly volunteers and the volunteers that handle tags are called tag wranglers.

Some things that I love about AO3 is that there is less pages to go through in order to post a story/chapter, being able to tag pairing separately from characters, and the ease to mark sequels. However, it just still feels like it still has a ways to go before it can be a fanfiction.net replacement.

They allow trolls because they don't know any better. They clearly have a double standard going on. They say that trolls are not allowed, yet allow them to flourish.
