Seriously ff.net needs to get their bleeding act together. First I couldn't edit my stories (thanks to the person who posted that fix) and now I can't search for a fic! Seriously?!?! This is messed up.

These folks needs to get on it and fix their junk. UGH.

With the number of Users and stories plus their connected comments and all the forums and communities on the site, if it was ever only hosted on a single server it would have moved beyond that years ago. I have no idea what the site is using now, but I'd guess 30+ web-servers minimum, 1 master with 3+ slaved Database clusters (5+ servers per cluster minimum) for stories and another smaller database cluster for the forums. Those numbers I tossed out would probably get their admins waxing nostalgic about how they worked with that setup years ago.
