Seriously ff.net needs to get their bleeding act together. First I couldn't edit my stories (thanks to the person who posted that fix) and now I can't search for a fic! Seriously?!?! This is messed up.

These folks needs to get on it and fix their junk. UGH.

Yup

I just tried searching and fandoms that normally are completely unharmed aren't working. Now I have to go through archives. I hate going through the archives. I saw someone say the curse of March, in case you people haven't noticed that FF is cursed all year round. Not just a certain month. But yea...Search Engine is looking to get shanked. Actually, I think the mods of FF should get shanked. And then people who know how to actually do things can take care of the website.

Any betters on how long before the whole site starts shutting down again?

The thing is this problem has been going on since the beginning of last year. I believe many people would be just fine if ff.net would post that they're working on the problem. But of coarse they won't, cause they a bunch of lazy blokes. What I don't understand is how a this site, A WRITING SITE!!!!! Can have this many problems. You don't see YouTube or other major sites having this many problems.

I just want it to work again.

I really miss having fic to read. I hope all these glitches are fixed soon.

What frustrates me the most is that the administrator hasn't posted a message on the homepage news to address this problem.

I don't know what to do without the site. No one posts stories about my favorite characters anywhere else, despite their being a livejournal community for the characters. I have tried every other archive I know of, and everything has been stories I've already seen, or stories about characters I don't want to read about. With my fandom being one of the broken ones on fanfiction.net, I have new to read, when there used to be at least a new chapter about them everyday. And the lack of reading materiel is destroying my inspiration for my writing. This situation is driving me crazy, and I have no idea how to solve the problem. Because, the only solution is to find something that doesn't exist anywhere except a site that is so broken it no longer exists there either.

absurd

At this point is ridiculous how long this problem is going on for. Not only is there the error posting stories, the search engine not working, but now the beta readers section of the site doesn't work! Do the people who run the site have any darn clue what they are doing? This is completely inexcusable at this point. I don't care that the site is large. There is no justification for the lack of communication with the site's users and for the problem to be going on this long! Do the people who run the site even care anymore? Do they have a clue what they are doing? I'm a beta reader and it is not acceptable for that section of the site to not be working. It is completely unacceptable for so many things to not be working at a given time and for the support staff to be as inept as they appear to be. Sorry for repeating myself but I had to rant but hey that's what this site is for.

Seriously. I've said it repeatedly over in the forums at FF.net - I work in IT (end user support), and if I had problems of this magnitude going on with my network, and didn't at LEAST provide status updates to my users? Well, my boss would be pretty pissed off, for one, and would probably either write me up or fire me for lack of response. Gah.

Well, I guess for now I'll just use the workarounds - I'm glad for those, at least, because I can still post, but it's irksome not being able to edit your characters and such. Hell, maybe I'll even resurrect my LJ here, which I apparently had not touched since some time last year. o_O
