Peeps,

I've just finished a story consisting of ~20 chapters with trimmings. What do I do?

1. Drop the entire bunch onto the servers in one go, so all my regulars are treated to ~20 emails in their inbox all at once

2. Drop in two chapters at a time, so people get just two emails, but this goes on for some two weeks.

3. Obtain from the user guide a way of publishing many chapters of story while only sending out *one* email. Note may not be possible.

Answers onna postcard, please.

Cheers,
Flexor

I always do number two. I don't particularly care about the people who have me on their alert list (if they think I post too much, they're free to take me off the list), but posting one or two chapters per week makes it far more likely that someone is going to take the time to review the story. Also, if your fandom is really active, posting everything at once means that your story will be buried into the archives pretty fast whereas updating regularly makes it jump back to the top, so more people are likely to see it.
