The new "hot" feature is probably being able to delete sighed in reviews. A bunch of whiners in the forums have been petitioning for this for over a year.
It's actually somewhat handy because people use the signed-in feature to get around deleting anonymous reviews when all they want to do is flame the author. Deserved or not, it's still not-cool, IMO, to prevent an author from being able to get them removed without having to see if the powers that be over at ff.n will do it.
A legitimate use of this might be is if a reviewer posted about an error in the story and it got fixed. The author would want to remove that review to avoid confusion. Or say a chapter is replaced wholesale. As it is now, ff.n prohibits you from reviewing if you've already reviewed, even if the chapter is brand-new material due to an edit/re-write.
Then again, the new feature might be that dreaded username tracking in which case I'm going to have to use separate browsers to read fanfic from now on.
