My profile was looking empty and I wanted to mention that I have stories in progress even though I haven't posted anything, so I updated it with summaries of the WIP stories in a format like so:

Lorem Ipsum

DOLOR: Sit Amet: Blah blah blah, story!

However, my updated profile looked more like this:

Lorem Ipsum

DOLOR: Sit Amet Blah blah blah, story!

As you can see, the colon inside the title of the story has been retained while the one separating the title from the summary has been eaten, and the underline on both fandom name and story titles is just completely gone. The profile editing area reflects the eaten underlines and colons, and I managed to get it to accept the colons by including them in an adjusted bolded underline (i.e. DOLOR: Sit Amet: Blah...) format for titles. Underlines are still a no-go, though. Also now my profile isn't updating to reflect the changes, though that could just be the usual lag-time.

ETA: I also had two story titles without any colons in the title itself, and their separator colons got eaten too. I didn't have any other colors beside the four total from three stories plus one with a colon in the title, so I don't know if colons get eaten particularly often right now.

ETA2: Yep, just lagtime. However, horizontal lines apparently get eaten in profiles too, which was not reflected in the profile edit area when I added a second update to note that I crosspost on AO3 and separated the note from my list of stories with a horizontal line.

ETA3 (2012/03/23, 0103EDT): Underline does work on otherwise unformatted text, but it's still not happening on something that's already bold and/or italics.
