beckyblackNot a rant, but I just thought I'd let you know there's a new message on the front page.
News:
August 16th, 2007 -- We are currently working on several improvement critical to day-to-day operations. Please note that due to the size of this site, there are no such things as trivial tasks.
General Support. We will be adding more support personnel in the coming weeks.
Polish. We need to make sure all existing features are polished before launching new ones. For example, we are implementing a fix for an issue where alert email delivery sometimes get "paused" for a few hours resulting in a flood of incoming alerts subsequent "resume".
New features: we currently have 2 brand new feature on tap for launch in the next month pending successful software and hardware upgrades.
June and July saw a uptick in feature introductions. August has been a month where we gathered to finetune the site. Expect another "feature launch" window for the month of September.
More support personnel! W00t! I'm so thrilled. On the other hand, the organisers of the Annual ff.net Support Personnel Convention are going to have to hire two phone booths to house the event now. Do you think any of these support personnel will know to activate a spell checker? What the hell is an "uptick"?
