Can't post new stories

For several weeks now, I have been unable to post new stories.

I go: Publish -> New Story -> select category -> continue

and then I am on a blank page! Nothing! It just doesn't render! I have agreed to the rules and such, so it's not that. It just doesn't give me a page where I can enter title, summary, upload fic, etc.

Anyone else have this problem? I've cleared cache, tried Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and IE. Tried Linux and Windows.

I've emailed support on ffnet twice, but I got no response. I'm not expecting one.

Help?

Have you turned off your pop up blocker? Try incognito mode to see if it works. An extension could be blocking it. A little window should be coming up.

Good idea, but unfortunately, that doesn't help. The window where I pick categories comes up. It is after that, when I have clicked 'continue' and should get to the page where I fill in info for the story, that doesn't work.

I even had a friend try to login on ffnet on my computer, and with her ffnet account it works. Just not when I am logged in as me on ffnet :(

So I am thinking it is something with my ffnet account.

Hmm. So when you select the category you click continue to the window then continue again on the main page to confirm and then it's blank? That's odd. I haven't heard of this. And I wish ffnet support would help. :( But they're pretty bad about that.

Try clearing your cache then reboot and see if that does it. I had a similar problem with Yahoo (curse the name) and that's what finally worked.

Nevermind. I see you did that already. Good luck (and I mean that sincerely). Something is probably corrupted in your login. It may be tough to solve without help from FFdot net.

The last time the site was having issues, I tried tweeting them instead of emailing and things were fixed within a couple of hours. Granted, they never responded to me directly, so it could be that they were already aware of the situation and working on a fix, but you might get faster results that way.

Yes, that's what happens. And I do hope ffnet support answers me at some point :(

Thanks. Yeah, I think that's the problem, since my friend could login and post a new fic just fine, using my computer.

I don't have a twitter account, but it's worth trying. I'll go create one, thanks.

Don't even bother contacting the admins. They don't care about us users and could care less about us having problems. I've only contacted them a few times. Once when I was getting lover than normal hit counts and they fixed that, and then another time when I couldn't see my profile hits and they fixed that, and since then, they haven't helped me one bit, so I have gotten along very well without them.

Contacting them on twitter didn't help, neither did another email to them, so I guess I agree with you. They will not do anything to help :(

Since my account seems screwed up (friends can login to their ffnet account from my computer and post just fine), I am guessing it's not going to be fixed so I can post.

I am going to create a new account and just make a comment about that in my old/new account :(

I've been having the same problem, I've tried:

Making new account
Using different internet connection
Different devices
Emailing them.

NOTHING!

Different ISPs/IP addresses, different OS'es and different devices did nothing. No change for me.

So I created a new ffnet account.

I ended up having to create a new email address also first, since I couldn't create another ffnet account with the same email address. Huge hassle, and at first they wouldn't let me post anything on the new account, since it wasn't verified and I wasn't getting the emails to do so.

After changing the email address AGAIN, I got the verification mail for the new ffnet account, and I can post stories in the new account!

So my problem is sort of solved - but my previous ffnet account is still as it was, and nothing new can be posted from that.

I never got a reply from ffnet support, email or twitter. I guess I shouldn't have expected one.

Sorry if I'm bringing up an old topic, but I've been scouring the internet for answers—and this is the problem I've been having exactly. Different devices, different browsers, incognito mode, disabling the ad blocker—I tried everything I could think of (though I haven't emailed them yet), but nothing seems to work.

So you created a new account with a different email, and that did the trick?

I'm having the same problem. No matter what I do, it just doesn't work! ;-;
