I like the "moderate guest reviews" option and everything, but...
I miss being able to turn off anon reviews entirely. Right now, I have a very dedicated troll who keeps going to all my stories with a certain character listed and leaving reviews like this one (copy-pasted from an email alert) "Biggity biggity boo whatchu doin? LOLOLOLOLOLOLTEEHEEHAWHEE". And it's really, really annoying. Being able to delete these reviews before they show up is great, but I would really rather disable anon reviews entirely for a couple of days until they get the message. With this, they still get to keep pestering me, and I still have to go delete their crap.

don't suppose this dude creates comics and/or claims to have been in the air force too?

I thought I wanted an account until I found out most fanfics are more into sex instead of story and most fanfic authors *especially Lord Of The Rings* the stories tend to be generic where the characters add very little input to the point nothing at all would be different otherwise if the OC didn't exist. This especially includes *Girl falls into Middle Earth* stories.
I for one would love to see some serious AU fics that uses logical choices such as what if The Fellowship decided to take the Gap of Rohan instead of going thru the Mines of Moria to avoid the snow and risk detection to get to Mordor faster? I am floored nobody has thought of a good fanfic like that where an important character makes a different choice.
What if Boromir's brother was sent to the Fellowship instead? Would the Steward set himself on fire since he could care less about his other (lesser) son? Would Boromir have a premeditation vision about something bad happening and try to come to the rescue the hard way?
So many good ideas that are not being used but I like totally suck at writing and don't want to add to the pile of garbage. LOL.
Excuse me while I go back to flying around the dungheap.

Further, your suggestion that this is just a normal part of writing was foolish, considering that other sites don't have this problem
