Problems

*Head-desking repetitively* What the hell is going on with fanfiction! It was okay for awhile, then it started acting up again. Now, I cannot log in at all.

I love fanfiction, most certainly I do. I have grown up reading stories and writing my own on there. It has helped me grow as a writer by far. Yet, this is too much! I do not want to be able to update one day, then the next not even be able to log in. It is stupid and highly tedious that I have to wait just to update my stories! Then, they want me to download software I have never even heard of? Are you serious fanfiction? Do you seriously want me to wait forever just to update? How long do you honestly believe your writers will deal with this crap?

I will admit I am not a patient person. I never have been and I probably never will. However, I do have some patience for fanfiction. Nevertheless, this is only because of my favorite fandom. I am a huge Puzzleshipping fan and I love to read and write about it. However, I am starting to be fed up with their crap. I am sick of the constant error messages and ads. Simply, I am sick of it all!

Yes, I know I sound like a spoiled brat, but I cannot help it. I love fanfiction dearly and I hate how it is acting like this.

So, is anyone else having this problem? In addition, has anyone decided to join Archive of Our Own? I already sent a request to join. I may stay with fanfiction, but I may keep that account just in case.

I spent time on the broken Fiction Press where you couldn't edit stories for over a week exporting stories to booksie.com which I've joined and LOVE already. I got tons of comments and "fans" their equivalent of alerts. I only wish they had a FF.net counterpart. They do have a FF section but it's pretty small and all Twilight/Harry Potterish.

Those two sites are the most buggy, least stable sites I've seen. Others are bigger, with fewer people working on them and maybe go down once or twice a year (besides updates which are posted ahead of time). It's all in how you take care of your site regularly and whether or not you know what the hell you're doing.

These folks clearly are in way over their heads. They update, they break over and over and over again. Who needs that?

They could charge the writers for using (but can't charge the readers for reading b/c of copyright issues) but who'd pay for a site that's down somewhere at least once or twice or more a month. I mean it's April 11 and they've had three outages on both sides at least. That's called incompetence.

Mine are both back up but they didn't FIX ANY OF THE PROBLEMS with either site. Updates still don't update and the online editor on FP is still broken.

Back to importing my stuff to Bookie.
