I'm amazed, ffnet. Your recent changes have been varying degrees of 'unnecessary', 'uwanted', or plain old 'ridiculous', and still, I've stuck by you. I've even defended you by saying: "their site, their rules."

But this one. Yes, this one. This one is like the icing on the cake.

Sorting by...REVIEWS?

What do you think will happen, THEN, ffnet? What about the fact that many, many readers use 'large review count' as a judge (erroneously, most of the time, because I've found really well done fics that haven't a huge review count, and abysmal stories WITH a huge review count) as to how great a story is? Do you know what will then happen to the other stories that DO NOT have a large review count? No? Well, let me explain it to you, ffnet: they will not get read. (subject to correction, of course, because people DO read fics without a large number of reviews.)

FFnet, the playing ground was once level. But now it is not.

EDITED TO ADD: The 'Sort by Reviews' option isn't a mandatory/default feature, but it's there, and it's annoying, IMO.

I am so bloody sick of logging in lately to see post after post after post with people crying about precieved problems that aren't problems at all. This community was useful when people gathered to bemoan the fact that the sight had crashed again, or some long established feature was broken yet again, or that flamers had come out of the wood work again. But ever since ff.net took care of business (for whatever reason that was) every change they make, gor good or ill, is simply wrong in your eyes.

Well here is the hard truth of it. Grow up! The site doesn't belong to you and as such means if you don't like it then you can shut up your crying about it and continue using it anyway or you can take your fan fiction to some other site that gets a tenth of the traffic. Either way this constant crying for the sake of it every time they change something or add something is simply foolish. Frankly given how creative writers are, I am disappointed in the lot of you all. This group crybaby behavior doesn't befit anyone. I highly doubt I'm the only one that thinks its time for everyone to get over it and put their big boy and girl pants on about the situation.

Feel free to hate me all you like folks. Feel free to think I'm a hypocrite for complaining about your complaining. I'm fine with that. But for the love of all that's worthy it needed saying.
