How many fictions have been delated ?

Hi everybody

Sorry if I make mistakes I'm French ^ ^

After verification, the old array is wrong and what is it that must be taken for reference.

As you can see, the percentages of removal are much lower, about 0,4% (and this is good news).

Thank you to refer to this post for details.

I think I have information you want: I compared the number of stories before bleeding and the number of stories today, to see how many have been removed.

Approximately 3% of stories have disappeared for the 20 top fandoms. There must have been  4.7 million stories before, so it is 145,000 which may have been removed (I gess but it can be less).

In French, we were hit, but it seems less severely than the English side. Some translations have been removed, some MA, but many stayed. Probably the keywords did not work on our side (but this may change).

Did  many MA stay up in English ?

Note : number of stories on then May, 28 comes from Wikipedia fanfiction.net page. The actual number is what can be read yesterday on ffnet.

EDIT : If you like statistics, you can come see my fanfiction.net analysis here (google translation is your friend)

Moving Fan Fic from FFnet to AO3 Tips & Tricks

So you want to post your fan fiction on AO3, and you already have your stuff posted on FanFiction.net. You're asking yourself is there a fairly easy way to move my shiz from FFnet to AO3? Also you don't know html and are a little intimidated by the whole process.

DON'T PANIC!

I'm here to give you some tips and tricks on how to make the process a little bit easier.

I will also add some additional tips at the bottom, like how to paste images into your chapter posts on AO3. Yay pretty!

I will probably post more tips, tutorials and shiz as I get time. If you have something specific you want me to cover just leave a comment and I will work on a post for it. :)

This purge is really scaring me

I didn't even know it was happening until I read the entries here earlier today, but now I can't stop thinking about it. I'm afraid that I'm going to wake up tomorrow and either my stories or my whole account will be gone. (I've heard they're deleting whole accounts without warning now.)

My story isn't going to be completely lost if that happens, because I back up each new chapter in my livejournal. But none of the people reading it on fanfiction.net would know to look for it there, and because links aren't allowed I have no way to tell them. And my livejournal name is different than my ff.net name, so there's no obvious connection. (And at the moment, I can't afford to pay to rename my livejournal.)

And anyway, I have no way of telling my readers where to look for my stories until I have a new chapter ready to post, and the chapter is only about half down. And, I can't work on it as much as I need to, because I'm doing camp nano this month, so I can only work on my fanfic after I've gotten my wordcount for my original novel (which I barely managed to do because I've been too worried about this.)

I did sign up on the AO3 waiting list, but I probably won't get an invite until September, by which point I could have lost all my readers if my story gets deleted.

I need to turn off my computer and go to bed now, but I'm almost too afraid to, because I'm dreading seeing what may have been deleted overnight. What if any of the stories that I'm reading, and really want to know what happens next in get deleted, and then I can never find out how they end. Or what if my story gets deleted before I can tell the people reading it where else they can find it.

(And by the way, I checked the story guidelines, and according to those M rated fics are still allowed, its only MA that isn't allowed. So I don't know what's going on with the deletion of M rated fics.)
