Alas, I can't log in to Fanfiction.net

I tried to log in so I could upload an update and after the loading process hung awhile, I got the following error message:


The connection has timed out
                                       
          The server at login.fanfiction.net is taking too long to respond.
                     
  The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
  If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
  If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.


Does the site just not like me or are others having problems too?


UPDATE:   I emailed the peanut gallery that runs the site for all the good that will do.  Also there's quite a bit of discussion on this latest outage online already going back nearly to 2:30 PM PST. Same problem exists at sister site, Fiction Press so it's a server outage. The cliffhanger here is, is anyone running these sites aware of it?  Stay tuned....


UPDATE: As the site continues to melt down, no word yet on when repairs will be completed from the peeps in the gallery at FF.net or whether they've tapped yet into knowing that there's a problem at all.  Will update any announcements by the site's peanut gallery on any upcoming press announcements or conferences addressing the problem.

UPDATE:  Even without issuing a press release, the site has been restored and I have received an eagerly waited review on one of my fan fictions. YAY...all is right with the world but for how long?

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one with that problem. Also, the mobile site is down as well, which stinks for me because I do most of my fanfiction reading on my iPod touch. I hope this issue gets fixed soon, partly cause i have a lot of partial chapters I haven't saved elsewhere, so I can't work on them.

And it works again. At least it does for my on firefox.
