Problem signing up

I've been trying to sign up to FFN for weeks and when I'm finished typing in all my information I get a message saying that I'll get a confirmation e-mail so that I can activate my account but the e-mail never shows up. I've tried with several email accounts and nothing! :(
I've also made sure that the confirmation email is not in the spam folder.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Plagiarized Story at FF.net

 In the Twilight section of fanfiction.net, a story has been posted called 'What the Heart Wants' by amberrcullen, only this story was not written by that user.  This is a story that the user has stolen called 'The Heart Wants What the Heart Wants' from a Jane Austen fanfiction site, and changed the names from the Pride & Prejudice characters to Twilight characters and posted, word for word, at fanfiction.net as her/his own story.  It appears the user took the story, copied it to a word document and simply changed the names using find/replace.  This person did not even bother to change the author's introduction at the beginning of the first post.

The Jane Austen fanfic community is pretty tight, and many of us also read Twilight fanfic, so this impostor was discovered immediately.  The original author (who's name is Amber) was contacted and she confirmed that her story was, indeed, stolen.  Based on the comments the story has received at fanfiction.net, at least forty people have reported this story to the powers that be at fanfiction.net, including links to the original story proving plagiarism.  The original author has also filed a complaint.

And yet, this story has not been deleted from the fanfiction.net.  How long does it take fanfiction.net  to take action?
