Won't Load

The entire website of fanfiction.net either won't load at all (saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"), or it acts as if it has loaded but only displays a completely blank page (not even an error message, just blankness). This has been happening continually for the last ten minutes no matter what I try. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

All they had to do was tell us they were doing upgrades!

Why did they wait until everybody started complaining before letting us in on the upgrade operation?  I understand that sites go down and upgrades need to be performed, but every other site I use a lot (like this one for ex) warn users that things won't be working right ahead of time.  Is it so hard to post a few lines of text on the homepage?

It does seem to be up and running now however.
