Seriously fanfiction?

Because i had been surfing fanfiction in a mobile device, i hadn't notice the changes, but when i managed to go to my computer and i saw the site again i just could think:

WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!

First the font, altough it doesn't seems to difficult to read it just...isn't pretty or nice to read, that along with image uploader that simply puts your avatar and doesn't seems like improve the apparence at all instead it seems worse, the change from alphabetical to popularity order just makes me angrier and frustrated and the new design of all the page, especially the one of when you read the stories, simply seems like crap when i see it.

The new design just is ugly, one of the things that at the begining i liked so much about ff.net was the nice design of their page and the good organization they had of their stories in contrast with other sites, but now i just don't see the difference at all.

Keep it on ff.net, i just cant wait to see how are you going to manage to screw it more.

It just hit me today what FFN's image uploader reminds me of - Fanlib. Dunno if you (or anyone here) remembers, but Fanlib was such a fail of a fan archive that it ended up shutting down some years back. And dear gods, it was a mess. It was overrun with ads to the point that it made it difficult to navigate the site, the font and text was always a little odd, and searching for fics was a nightmare.

Hm. I guess it's more than just the image uploader that reminds me of Fanlib. Oop @ FFN.

If ya go to the rant of Am I on an LSD Trip? There are links to userstyles there. It will remove the images and restore the font back to the chapters.

I will say this now though: The links and summaries will shrink.

If you have Firefox, you can install the Stylish App/Plug-in thing and then download the userstyle. I'm actually liking the userstyle alot and images no longer interrupt my reading.

For the Ad Problem, if you use Firefox, you can also download the Ad Block Plug in. Removes about every freakin ad out there. That Plug-in deserves much love.

I rather like the ability to add images to our stories. I think it allows for more creativity.
